Cherry Cheesecake Galette & a Giveaway

Published by at 8:00 am under Dessert,E-book

cherry cheesecake galette

I’m the queen of indecision, going back and forth over every possible option until I finally reach a decision. This galette was the product of that indecision. I had a pound of beautiful Bing cherries, a stash of cream cheese, and I simply could not decide what to make. Cheesecake? Cherry Pie? Cherry Tartelettes?

So I combined them. Slightly ridiculous, a little decadent, completely delicious, this dessert is perfect any time of the year.

What’s your favorite dessert, preferably slightly ridiculous? Leave a comment before Wednesday for a chance to receive my desserts e-book! The winner will be chosen via random generator.

I am not a fan of cheesecake but i love danishes…especially the filling. this looks like a delicious cherry danish with lots of cheese and cherries. i’d love to try it!

my favorite dessert would be anything vanilla. torta della nonna, vanilla slice, rice pudding, vanilla icecream sunday … or anything with nuts. baklava, pecan pie, chocolate covered nuts. I think I just like desserts.

My favorite dessert… oh boy, that’s a hard one! I’m a huge fan of pie, but really, anything chocolate and you’ve got my vote!

I love all desserts, but the one that brings me tons of memories is a good ole cast iron pineapple upside down cake.

I love cheesecake but I think my favorite dessert would have to be home made apple pie which we add cheddar cheese to the pie before we bake it. It’s better than the hunk on the side!

honestly, it would have to be a gooey chocolate chip cookie with a large scoop of vanilla bean ice cream!

Dina: I have a weakness for danishes, as well. This particular dessert will likely remind you of a danish much more than an actual cheesecake.

Linda: I’m with you on vanilla! I go through the stuff like crazy, because I use it so liberally.

    Kristen: that sounds really good!

Heidi: I love chocolate about as much as I love vanilla. Did I just say that? I never realized I ranked vanilla ahead of chocolate, but there you go…

Mommy the Maid: I’ll have to add that to my list. Would you believe that I’ve never had pineapple upside down cake?

Sonya: I’ll have to do a NYC cheesecake soon…

Jennie: Cheddar and apple is such a classic combination that I can see how this would be very good.

Rachel: That’s one of my favorite combinations, too. Or a warm brownie with a scoop of ice cream. Or…I should just stop now, or I’m likely to end up eating dessert for dinner tonight.
